Tailored Services & Support

SoundScience offers tailored implementation and support services for each BarnOwl® site. Working with each customer, SoundScience will discuss and plan an implementation that meets customers’ business needs to deliver the most cost effective solution.

Site Implementation

SoundScience provides a full suite of implementation services:

Site Design
To ensure best acoustical results, the site design service considers the local topography, noise sources and nearby residences to determine the optimal number, location and network connectivity of BarnOwl® units required to provide accurate and effective noise measurements.
Customisation
SoundScience, as the developers of BarnOwl®, can customise the software to specific customer needs.
Installation
Installation planning, BarnOwl® setup and network configuration are part of a complete installation service offered.
Training
In addition to the full operations manual, SoundScience can provide training for BarnOwl® users.
Support
Technical support for site implementations includes phone / email support and the ability (where authorised) to remotely access a unit to facilitate any diagnosis.
NATA Calibration
SoundScience can now organise for the whole measurement side of the BarnOwl® system to be NATA calibrated as a non integrating sound level meter. This provides certainty about the acoustical accuracy of the hardware and software.

Site operations

SoundScience can assist customers with the operational management of BarnOwl®:

Service Reporting
SoundScience offers a fully managed reporting service that includes remote monitoring of BarnOwl® units; assessment of results; and production of reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as required.
QA Reviews
For customers that prepare their own noise reports from BarnOwl®, SoundScience can provide a regular QA review service to ensure the published findings meet the standards required by the local regulatory authority.
