MADMax

  

MADMax was developed to provide detailed information about maximum noise level events. This technology has proven extremely useful in measuring and assessing sleep disturbance from events such as heavy vehicle passby.

The MADMax software runs on a PDA platform and interfaces with a standard environmental noise logger to record maximum noise levels from road traffic and similar source. The system acquires instantaneous noise levels from the logger and performs it's own detailed analysis. Maximum noise levels are determined by preset criteria and logged to an internal memory card within the PDA. Downloading is a simple operation of connecting to a PC via Microsoft ActiveSync and copying a CSV file.

The PDA and connection hardware fits neatly inside the logger case and draws power from the logger battery. Please note the use of MADMax will reduce the logger operating time to approximately 5-6 days dependent on battery condition.

The PDA, software, all cables and connectors are supplied to interface with Acoustic Research Laboratories type 215 or 315 noise loggers, or RTA technology Type 2 noise loggers.
